The Ashbreaker Clan dwells in a realm all its own...

A place where lush valleys collide with a towering mountain, lazy waterfalls flow into raging rivers, and dangerous humans encounter fearsome wolves. The Ashbreaker is always on the run, since fate seems to enjoy toying with their lives daily. If you find yourself on their terra, you'd better have a good reason...

If you wish to join, find the alpha, Tigerstorm, or the beta, Haitoru, before they find you lurking about their homeland without permission. If you're just passing through, make it quick... Haitoru doesn't take kindly to strangers...

Hope when school is over, we can enjoy roleplaying once again. <3 ~ Tiggy and Hai

21•o4•o9 - Activity Check #2 is now in order. So is May nominations for WOTM. I hope everyone had great vacations and breaks! You can take your time adjusting back into the roleplaying life again. Lol. Have fun and I hope the activity will boost up again. <3 ~ Tiggy

We are all willing to help out and be friends with whoever comes by on the site. ~ Tiggy

14•12•o8 - Maintenance Mode no more! Thanks to Lust and others, we were able to make the site even more organized and attractive. Hopefully more members will join. If not, we can advertise our site at theirs. Might work! Ayways, activity is doing well amongst all the members with school and other life obstacles. Take your time and don't rush yourselves to reply in threads! <3 ~ Tiggy

o7•12•o8 - As you all have noticed, the site was put at a stand still. Tig and I decided we should lock it up until we have fixed everything and have gotten all of your support in the finished product. Lust had given me the lovely idea of a independent, or otherwise freeform, roleplay section for those who don't want to follow the main thread. I kept the main thread in case some of us still want to make it like a big story, but she was right. It IS hard to follow it and keep up with everything if everyone is in one thread. I'm organizing, trying to finish the Nightrider Plot Summary. I'll make the 'Kingdom of Carnage' plot summary to, when it gets a few more posts. c: ~ Hai

You have come here because society has no further use for you.
This place will now become your holding pen until your death.
I am very good at this business because I make all the rules.
But if you break any of my rules, you will find that there is life after death.

Machine was ancient, carved from stone and whittled away by winds and rapids alike to be defined by nature itself. He was a creation of time and all its glorious transcending: a beautiful disaster forged from the hybridization of ambition and reality.

Grotesque gargoyle was fit for one thing--the thing he'd sacrificed to serve a greater purpose. Vitality was based on slaughter, and yet lifestyle had been critiqued so that unnecessary bloodshed did not occur: his world was the quintessential paradise for those faint of heart. But beast was no such thing.

Feline exterior rivaled that of a lion: thick sterling mane serving a higher purpose than beauty. Luxurious pelt about his guttural region provided ample protection from--yes--elements, but also from prey. From victims. It was a built-in defense, perfected through superior breeding of the archaics. It was not merely the brush and plume that sheltered a leathery hide, however, which offered the weary warrior optimized equipment, for among the anarchist's artillery were weapons of diabolic destruction.

Claws of razor rhapsody were spread even and evanescent as they embroidered prints into sodden soil before being whisked away. Harnessed bulk was buckled taut beneath a humble hide which rippled with savage strength as he callously cavorted across lofty land. Stark sight of keen cadaver quality traced the outline before him--every ridge, surface, flicker of movements and subtle sound screamed at him to turn tail and leave this place of pompous peace behind: yet he did not. Velvet nares quivered unnaturally to the scents of those whose past importance had been vital, but like with most, their fame had faded from his eyes. They were not the enemy now; no, rather, they were a neutral party. One that had to be analyzed for what they were currently and through the eyes of a level-headed loner: not like the past, not viewed through the window of a biased lunatic with the scope of previous endeavors.

But Ironheart knew he could not expect the same courtesies in return as those he would give.

Sigh compelled the iron freight train to downshift into a lackluster lope, apathy forming an odd sense of rapport about the herculean anti-hero. Modest smirk blessed those livid lips as they pursed, thought halting any sound that could have been made.

Semi-abruptly, pace was churned once more into a degraded trot, then a lumbering clop-of-a-walk, and finally a hardy halt. Thickly domed skull raised above chest to allow broad neck a non-craning action, while still lax. Ears cupped forth to listen for nothing in particular, timid tassel basking once to his left, then once to his right before hanging limp among hefty haunches.

Tantalite titan daren't howl for sake of his own, he knew: after disbanding unofficially from the Nightriders, one had to stay fierce in watching their own back. Disloyalty wasn't an option typically in their gang, but brash brawler had taken onto himself the option after seeing the decaying downfall following their defeat in the war.

Thus, tepid yipping call would follow suit, hoping there was a member of the Ashbreakers in the area that would her him. Otherwise, back up plan was initiated, and a cadence that was related to the melody of a New Guinea Singing Dog sounded from granite male's larynx. Not only did this provide vociferous camouflage from old Nightrider comrades, but distrusting Ashbreakers wouldn't be able to pre-judge him either.

Acting as a link between the loner and pack brink, canine commander awaited the word. Regardless of the reason, he saught a pack. This was no passing wish: this was judgment day.

Dark thoughts brooded within Sloan's mind. He had left the dens and eyes of authority far behind. He had no idea if they were searching for the no-ranker. He doubted that they were, since he had the cunning skills to disappear without anyone noticing. If Tigerstorm knew, Sloan would know the clumsy male wouldn't care as long as the brute doesn't get caught by anyone else. The obsidian male took advantage of Tiggy's 'weakness' and had gladly scampered off to who the hell knows where. The male didn't know the land so why not check them out?

His large paws would drum against the barrens lands were they use to be filled with luscious grasses and now are just withering weeds. Sloan remember the beauty of the Ashbreaker's territory when he came with his old pack to ambush. The ambush was only a small part of a sinister plan of the Nightrider's, and part of Sloan's as well. The canine knew they wouldn't win with the numbers they had against Tigerstorm's pack, so that's why he retreated last second. And with the heat increasing and less prey remaining in the mountains, he had to join the group. Even if they hated them. The only way to survive is with others, not himself, unless he wished for a death wish.

"Hah. Like I would ever want to die," he chuckled in malicious tone, his scowl twisting into a cocky grin. He knew he was using them just live, otherwise if something terrible was to happen, he would not dare to help. He would watch them be tortured, massacred, anything involving blood being spilled, with a sick smile on his lips. He continued his trotting, scanning with his icy gems. A few chuckles here and there would escape his mouth from the looks of the land. As he turned around a tree's massive trunk, his muscles tensed with straight auds perking forward. His head moved with an amused face to look towards the sound he just heard; a howl.

Sharp claws dug into the dirt as the large body bolted off to the howl, his body moving agile and fluent as he curved around the blocking timber trees. His steps would pound in a rhythmic beat with his heart while it pumped blood furiously throughout his arteries, drool dipping from the corners of his lips. His gleaming pearly-white canines have been showing since he left his casual trots, his black tail straight high. He wanted to meet the newcomer and play it off as he was a high ranked wolf in a pack, possibly mimicking the alpha's same stance and gestures. This was his chance to feel powerful, and he didn't want to lose the opportunity. Being a freaking no-rank has stripped him of his dignity and reputation.

Seeing the figure from far off, he purposely kicked dirt up and made as much possible noise to direct the stranger's eyes on him. He growled viciously as he reared up to glace at the brute, narrowed icy blue orbs widening in surprise; the male was Ironheart. His scowling face rippled his face more as he noticed his chance of being a powerful lupine had slipped away, but not all. For what the ancient Iron knew was that he could be a beta in this pack now.

He straighted his posture and raised his crown high, appendages raised forward and interested. Sloan had an idea why he was near the Ashbreaker borders, but he wasn't entirely sure if he's right. So being a rude one, he quickly engaged into conversation with a cocky and confidence tone with a facial expression matching. "Well, well. What do we got here? An old wolf being as brainless as he can ever be in his wretched life?" He pulled a sly grin across his lips and continued. "AND... Is he even thinking of joining a pack that he held hatred for? This is all to perfect, I must say."

He was always the elder-type, even during his youth.
And he never tried to shrug that off.
Tepid titan was unphased by most anything, giving a mere huff-of-a-laugh at it, or a tsk of the tongue; either way, it would certainly be a painstaking feat to pull the wool over those olivine eyes. But the next of occurrences made him double-take.

Visual proved accessible before scent, which was a bit of an oddity for the hound and his size. Beast wouldn't deny that he was no sight hunter--a body that size was due to have lax reaction time and thus a slower speed to give case with, thus encouraging scent or sound searching to be enhanced. And with the rapid beating of a foreign war drum rocketing across parched ground, it gave a decent amount of warning that someone had heeded his calls.

Too bad for him it wasn't the nicest of receptors.

Black Beta {at least that's what he'd been last in Ironheart's eyes, as well as de facto Czar upon Niju's 'disappearance'} was often thought of as small and lean in comparison to ex-Raider, though his thought pattern was often slightly skewed. There was only a rough three-inch distance between their altitudes, and Sloan was no light-weight speed runner, however this stream of opinion may have been based on the fact the once-lower-ranked male looked down upon Sloan for his behavioral issues. Though he knew none were infallible, the ragged rover seemed to particularly underline that.

Apathetic stature held withers relaxed and blended into the rest of his smooth top line under a thick and slick fur coat, torpid tail hung in more of a neutral than a submissive state, though pendulum-like minuscule sway suggested plotting rather than contentment. Waiting quite patiently for the explosive entourage that was almost guaranteed to happen, brawn shifted, bored, as sinister grin crept slowly onto facade.

"Glad to see you haven't lost your touch, Sloan."

During his time in the Nightrider gang, he learned a few things about its members. What was coherent about his greeter was simple: don't oppose him unless you're over him, don't get in his way, and don't give in to his smart-ass commentary. Follow those rules, and you'll find him able to be dealt with easily. Fail to abide by them, and you'll have a very annoying, adolescent-acting, haughty, belligerent fool on your hands. And who needs that?

"Now if you'll excuse me, I'd like to find some actual Ashbreakers."

Advancing a step forth, Ironheart would cast a side-glance to his counterpart, slipping lithe muzzle towards his pelt in order to inhale the aroma. He would have been concerned that tyrant was still Patriarch, had he still retained the stingy, stagnant Nightrider smell. However, though he didn't seem to fully adapt the Ashbreakers' odd perfume, it matched the land from which he'd come, and thus suspicions were confirmed that the hypocrite had had the same idea--or similar, at least--to sterling seraph's, only he'd executed his plan earlier.

And, though he didn't trot on further despite previous sentence, gracious gaze fully took on the onyx imp, curious to see the full extent of his reaction. He didn't expect an attack--for even he would prefer more time than this to play with his prey-- but nothing could be put past Sloan. That was for sure.

The obsidian male couldn't help, but chuckle at Ironheart, the old titan. His sly grin was still on his lips while his cold demeanor stood on the male's features with an amused spark of interest. Sloan thought this meeting was already getting good: a male, to be more specific, an ex-raider of the Nightriders was going to beg for forgiveness and most likely, want to join the Ashbreakers, the pack he was trained to hate and kill. Another bemused snicker was released into the air from those thoughts.

As of now, Sloan was about to add more to his words, but a devious grin revealed itself onto the old, conniving wolf's lips. This made the once cocky brute to froze in place. He had never seen Ironheart smile so sinister like that before, or Sloan should really say, never had he saw him smile in his lifetime. He didn't ever linger with the silver male as long as this before, but he wouldn't have thought that an old creature like Ironheart was really a dark minded canine.

"Glad to see you haven't lost your touch, Sloan."

That made the beast snap out of fear, ice eyes glaring with a brow raised on his face. Iron's words were difficult for the male to read 'between the lines', so that left Sloan to think til the ancient one spoke again. Sloan, this time, understand his words, a snarl and his white pearls gleaming at the old one, his usual stance being held. Eyes winced as the one stepped forward, ears pressed back as Ironheart took in his own smell. What the hell is this creep doing?' he thought in his mind, a confused look spread all over his looks. He shook his crown immediately to belittle his thoughts, and to finally answer to the old male.

"To inform you, I am an actual Ashbreaker, and if you don't believe me, why don't you call the others? Mm?" he asked the male, a determined and cocky tone released with those words. "Wait! Why don't I have the honor to call Tigerstorm, or even that bitch, Haitoru? She doesn't take kindly to strangers. And look at this!" he chuckled, circling Ironheart's form to intimidate him. "You are a stranger, PLUS, an ex-nightrider, for what my eyes can tell me. That would be a show to not miss. Am I correct, boy?" he insulted, feeling as he won the argument. His paws pounded the ground to a stop, black maw rising up to the air, his nostrils breathing in as much air as he could. He held his smirk and finally, let out his monsterous, alluring tune, keeping it going until he gasped for breath.

:.: | BiC | :.:

Some say an old dog can't learn new tricks. And sometimes, they pay for that.

Breviloquence was clearly taken to heart.
Curiosity piqued quaint ears forward to perch petite atop slate skull while critiquing eyes sized up the rowdy showdown. Obviously, he'd done his part in striking a chord in the intrepid traitor, for complete outburst was irreversible. Contempt and yet content, placid drawing of slow increments to the right were made by a massive forepaw, malignant mass shifting to follow as brute sidestepped. This was done for no other reason than to allow eloquent elder to truly take in what he'd set in motion.

Unfortunately, the fun didn't last very long.
As stark smirk faded into a wistful smile, then an apathetic lull, olive sight would drift and wallow no where in particular, unappeased by the ranting that followed. Now, it is never what one says that you have to pay attention to, but how they say it. Tone, pitch, volume, rhythm, pronunciation, inflection, emphasis. The smallest tweak to a word could mean the difference between peace and war. Not that Ironheart had any problem with either of those things.

Immediate thought put to Sloan's rebuke was the fact that he'd claimed to be an "actual" Ashbreaker, and went so far as to defend his own honor as such, as if there were valor in that Title. Sloan, of the Ashbreakers. What was he? It couldn't have been too many sun's passings since the Great Valley War, and with his prior attitude still emanating aversion and radiating egotistical ambition, there was no way those faint of heart--such as Tigerstorm and Haitoru--would nurture the fiend and tend to his ways with awarding him a secure and high place among their group. As a Nightrider, he'd been ruthless, diabolic, and praised through fear. Here, monochromatic mutt couldn't believe beast was treated with anything more than consideration that involved a keen eye and a close, constant guard. Not even the Ashbreakers would be foolish enough to doubt the ability of the ex-Patriarch.

But protecting some skewed version of glory wasn't all loon Lucifer was doing. While he circled steel stallion, much like a frenzied shark, Sloan threatened and mocked the rogue with pack references. Far from biting into the bait, sigh stretched skin taut, then released it so twitching--as if shooing a fly--occurred. Neck curved but hung out so cranium and tail were on the same plane, auds curved back lightly to listen. As if he were ground-tied, agreeable stature suggested not submission, but neutrality, cocked rear right pastern suggesting great boredom and a lack of insecurity.

However, when daunting howl was released from the abysmal chambers of the haughty hellion, optics had risen from their slumber to hark on his counterpart. For once more than all talk, something was actually, really and truly, going to be done. Question was, who would come? Completely unaware of who the Ashbreakers still had, or who'd they adopted--all he could count with certainty was Sloan, Tigerstorm, and Haitoru--Ironheart was almost excited to see who he'd get. Any way, beguiling bilk presumed he would have little trouble swindling them over to his side. After all, if they'd honestly adopted Sloan, they should believe any creature could repent.

And, just to play with his toy a little more before company arrived to sweep him away, crown would shift towards him, muzzle cocked in his direction, but gaze remained well hidden beneath the shag of sterling. Eerie lyrics were spoken wit hthe air of a child telling bedtime stories of ghosts, and then cuing the ghost to appear. It held no particular emphasis or pitch, but the cadence was almost like a song.

" If Niju were here, he'd have your throat for this."

ooc. Aww... I sry Catz.(don't mind me calling you that, right?). Lol. I might as well steal the rest! I kidd, lol. I know what you mean though. I try to make new words instead of saying 'old' all the time. SO IMA STEAL ANCIENT FROM YOU AGAIN! Hehehe.~ OMG! I actually post on time!

ic. As his crown lowered, a familiar smirk was painted on his fuzzy lips, teeth bared to add more meaning in his looks. Of course, not just this would go unnoticed. Sloan's tail was now higher once again, proclaiming, yet again, he was dominant one of the two. The fur on his hackles risen a little, along with the obsidian hairs on his shoulder blades, and so, his stance held a formal, but yet, senile appearance. He would simply claim he's been rusty at being bossy and top-wolf, and also state, Haitoru have knock him down when he would try to show any supremacy in the Ashbreaker lands. Tigerstorm had careless about how he acted, but with the bitch, he has to be put in his place multiple times.

Now the ice gems traveled the ancient one's figure, trying to read any form of fear or anxiety from when he just howled to now. Extensive mitts marched in around the feeble creature, the smile still on his face. He wanted to chuckle, was so tempted to do so, but he though as of now, he did enough damage. The small laugh will come later when really needed. A snort was released as the same silver face of Ironheart's slowly, but surely cocked into his way, Sloan's nose wrinkled up. 'What was he going to say now? There was no way he could match the almighty Sloan's words!' Ego thoughts trickled within the brain of the bulky male, eyes squinting as he chuckled inside as well.

Those words spoken from Iron's lips, the only words he had said after Sloan boomed out his howl, ticked him off. His tone did make him shutter and run chills up his spine, but he regretted himself for not lashing out there and now at the old male. Anger had fumed out from his flaring nostrils and his eyes twitched countless times as he attempted to not whip out, but his hold was growing even more fruitless as he even stared at the old beast. A rather large sigh relieved him of some rage, but his body shook with the livid outburst that was soon waiting to happen.

'Phffft. Niju. That bastard doesn't even exist right now. Why the hell would this ignorant ole' man bring him up? Just to tease me? It so looks like it....' When his mind adverted back to the dull colored canine, he couldn't keep him mouth shut. Sooner or later her was going to flip out, and it was now. His voice sounded like ravaged growls and his throat grew dry and hoarse quickly from his profuse yelling, but he wouldn't stop there.

"Why the hell would you bring him up? You should know how much I despised the fucked-up wolf! Niju wouldn't even be able to touch me anyways!" His sanity was on a whim, but his small amount of grace and dignity was able to reel it back in. 'Cept, the obsidian brute still continued. "You are really staring to piss me off, old man. I would be careful of what you say next or you'll be in a puddle of your own blood. Maybe even watch your smiles or I'll rip them right off that wrinkled face of yours!" he threaten with a rash tone, his teeth clicking together. Oh, how he hated how the lupine was able to become a pain in the ass.

There were times in the past where, when a static showdown with Sloan was on the rise, Ironheart would submit to his superior with a duck of the head or a slinking away while lowered. But now was not one of those times. Belligerent bastard was on a power trip and destined for a surge or outrage soon, which made the silver charlatan question his own tactics. Regardless, mind finally decided, circuit breaker would be required to put the prowler back in his place.

Achromatic anarch shed his stupor with a lurch onto frontal limbs, shoulder blades conducting the tempest treason in the air as hackles pricked and splayed. As panzer pressure was applied to beastly paws, they copied the action and grappled, coiling tight around parched terrain of soil and grass. Chrome claws ticked testy with impatience towards opposer's impotence, but still the silence remained. From pasterns to flank and elbows were flexed and braced -- lumbering lion poised with practical yet precise intent of making the first move.

Flat as topline was, despite being laced with spiked loathing, withers proved prominent as wallowing weight shifted to accommodate an equilibrium of sorts: the the real intimidation could begin.

Archaic annihilator, achieving his maximum altitude of 34'', proudly hoisted his obsidian banner high as he could, tail stagnant as stone. Accompanying this was like that of far-off thunder, a guttural growl that seized his previous devious grin and turned its tides to a more sinister sneer. Onyx gums peeled from fangs to reveal ivory incisors and xyresic teeth to support. Chest was inflated with a deep inhale, snarl marking sure his counterpart did not get the peace of tranquility.

Nape crested to allow muzzle an angle so toxic topaz eyes could sear Sloan's, a lethal lacquer plastering every soulless sin into his cynical sight. Ears, devilishly enough, snaked forward farther than one would believe to be possible, framing his face with argumentative audacity. Somehow, growling did not cease to usher in cavalier cadence; instead, it played as an orchestra in the background.

"If you want someone to follow suit, you have to set an example."

Ravenous roar filled the next pause with aerosol mercury, attempting to allow that thick black head to register the threat he'd just unleashed. Sloan didn't want him to smile, or else? Ha. Sardonic smirk settled the gap between rear teeth and flews, raucous vehemence radiating from his ghastly, grim grin. If death had a face, his would be it. Ironheart zealously knew it.

"Now, if you're finished whining, stand down."

Adamant command was none to be taken lightly, pretentious prowess more than just for show. He may have wanted to join the ranks of the Ashbreakers, and in doing this perhaps hesitated for their favor, but one thing he--and perhaps they would agree--could not stand for was being walked on or taken advantage of. Never Again.

The land had been battered with a succession of wolves about the area. No, it wasn't a succession. No, about four or five or six. Exhaling, the female looked positively murderous when a scent wafted into range, followed by a howl. But oh well. She best be polite, otherwise she might not get faithful subjects for Tigerstorm's pack. A snort escaped her muzzle, and the female decided she'd do the opposite. Especially when she'd learned Sloan was on the borders.

As the Beta traversed closer to the source, she became aware the owner of the strange scent was male. She was a bit slow at this time, wanting to pull up and sleep. Not now, Haitoru. Anyway. Haitoru could now see who she had been scenting and hearing. She'd much prefered males because of their strength. But then again, females were more submissive. Not that she could argue about a wolf's gender.

Finally the snowy female was standing properly in view of the pair. What she had noticed was the strange interaction between the males. She'd address that in a few moments of course. Maybe she'd seen this face before. But there had been so many faces she had seen in the past few months. Her muzzle parting, she gave a scolding, one that was protocol for the second-in-command female.

"Sloan. You've disobeyed orders. What are you doing out of the den?"

Ok, no, it wasn't protocol. But she was tired. She couldn't be blamed for her rather dumb-looking appearance. Yawning, she came to her sense and decided she add something on the end. To make her.. less dumb still.

"You're on the lands of the Ashbreakers. Any reason for it?"

She looked at the male with slightly feigned interest. Another time she would be interested, but not now when she was on the verge of falling and sleeping on the ground. She was no longer looking murderous, but still slightly agitated at something or other. She growled lowly at the black-furred male with a distaste. Sloan was in for a punishment later. Oh yes! That was right. Those two had been chatting before she approached. And that rose another suspicion. And very venomously did she narrow her eyes and speak up to Ironheart once more. "Unless you are associated with this scum more commonly known as our No-rank Sloan, I doubt you'd have a reason to speak up."

ic. As the beast held his malicious form, ebonite forepaws scrapped the earth's soil in vicious concepts. Those pearly teeth clicked continuously in a rage, his nose further scrunched to the point it looked distressing to himself. Sloan's mind was now on a rampage; it being a turbulent mass of destruction that was soon to be released to all who dare come near the wolven creature.

Slabs of muscle beneath his dark coat did tense, but soon melting to a relaxing mush as his ice gems peered at the once old, scrawny male before him. The silvery hackles of Iron's immediately rose like he was shocked by some electrical current, its ends poking Sloan even though he didn't touch. Iron's crown has risen higher than the younger one before him, bringing him to succumb to the gray one's gestures, but the beast wasn't going to give up to quickly.

Mixed growls of old and new' voice boxes slaughter the silence that did linger before and noses of both revealed the shiny fangs, but Iron's was one to fear. They were a beauty, a masterpiece, Sloan would dubbed. The incisors that filled the male didn't conceal the experienced and maturity they had grown into from hunts, the idea of bones being snapped like a twig floating in the once noisy male. When seeing upon these beauts, all Sloan could do was go silent with an amazed and feared(somewhat dumbfounded too) facial expression. His ice gems wanted to look away from topaz ones, but they were glued to Ironheart's fiery dominance. A gulp was all responded to his words, the concern still painted on his face.

For once, Sloan has been put in his place.

Haitoru is the only one that could ever tell the achromatic male to listen, his excuse for his reputation to be save was she was a 'female'. Otherwise, anyone else that could show Sloan to shut the hell up had the right to riddle, what little reputation he had left, to nothing. His eyes narrowed to a squint, a face of disgust ridding the fear that was stuck on him, but it was soon forced back to expression when he heard a familiar voice.

"Sloan. You've disobeyed orders. What are you doing out of the den?"

She seem half-asleep, so Sloan attempted to slide this law-breaking problem away with some simple sucking up. "Excuse me, Lady Haitoru." He cleared his dry throat, finishing what he was saying. "Tigerstorm and I were together and stumbled upon this ole' thing. The sir had left me before even speaking to him. He wanted me to call you, for that reason, I think he was tired and wanted to sleep."

A total lie it was, but a rather good one, you must say. Tigerstorm was know for being a freaking lazy ass, and everyone knew about this. Haitoru, being second in command, was forced with the duties he would never complete, so she had to believe a slight bit of what the conniving one had said.

For a split second, Ironheart had feared the worst was inevitable. But time had woven into his ways that one should stick with their first instinct or learn to regret it. In not backing down, he'd won the half the battle.

Massive male would have been content to revert back into himself and continue deeper into the lands of his past enemies, had it not been for that sardonic seraph: Haitoru. For all the grace and glory that was attached to her title, it often did her justice. On the contrary was this current outing, where dreary harbinger seemed to float towards the masculine duet on dream clouds all her own. As if harboring temporary between this plane and the next, lackluster spat was sent initially towards Sloan, who was surprisingly shaken from his stupor.

Analytic eyes of radium sized up the petite Beta--assuming her rank had not upped since last era--searching for any sign of fault. Usually fully of acrity and an acute sense of the world beyond what one may see, to sterling statue she appeared almost a ghost of her former self. Generously slating the thought to sheer fatigue and redundancy of her duties, tactical tyrant ventured on with auditory reception, moving on from visual queues.

Disobeying orders. Brute didn't even have to resist a chuckle from that one. Sloan had always been that way, the Nightriders would just chalk it up to his personality and move on. Did the Ashbreakers actually care? Actually do something about it? Despite the obviousness apparent in their conversation before white wolf's entourage, charcoal changeling had churned at least reserved in the presence of her majesty. Ironheart made sure to take note of that.

Our No-rank. Now that took some restraint to handle.
So for all the taunts about wanting to find a real Ashbreaker, and dominating over Sloan, he hadn't been so far off. But instead of gloating with glee over the triumped ex-patriarch, rogue kept a vacant stare serene on Haitoru, allowing her dismal dialog to fill a quaint gap before answering.

From titanic to tame, virile Valkyrie lowered his lead skull considerably before addressing the angel, auds shied and gaze averted out of respect, as well as modesty. If she spoke, he would glance long enough to assure her of his attention, but short enough where compliance and passive submission were certain.

"I apologize, Lady Haitoru, but I was hearing so much about you."
Pause was practically placed to both draw the listener in and make way for the tepid tide of information that rose with the casually minuscule waxing of his chrome cranium.
" As a loner with no recent pack history, I presume you can only imagine the reason I would wander into land so discouraged."

'Just look around' Begged the delicate, somber soul of his cadence. With each lapse of words like a dirge for nature, finely-tuned acoustics were strategized to provide an easy transition into the clan called Ashbreaker. In times so bleak, it is difficult to make your stand alone; united, however, you stood a chance. That was the foundation from whence most packs now-a-days were derived. And so, having donned typical translucence, snide cynic reigned with resigned reconnaissance, allowing as much time as necessary to tick away before either the zombie or the vampire was snagged on the his portrayal. Either way, wouldn't be long now 'til he had them hook, line, and sinker.

The male wolven bit his lower lip, awaiting for her response for his words. He did do well for thinking up a rather convincing explanation for his reason of being out by the borders (with no high rank escorting him, and the big part, with a newcomer who happens to be an ex-nightrider like Sloan was once). A sly, but somewhat concealed smirk was curved on his mouth, however, a chuckle was pulled back into his throat for not wanting to be caught.

Ice gems soon trailed to Ironheart, who has given a formal appearance to Haitoru. Of course the old male would bow to the Beta, especially when it's Haitoru who holds that spot. The ancient brute just gazed at the white fea with all attention turned to her, respecting her. This made Sloan sick to his stomach. How could you show anything like that to that bitch? Ironheart was something for sure, having the ability to swallow his pride and lower himself to her.

"I apologize, Lady Haitoru, but I was hearing so much about you."

He wanted to laugh at that comment, but he just snorted to resist to do so. When Iron finished up his statement, eyes rolled at Haitoru, wondering if she believed him or not. The obsidian male would just burst of laughing if she did. She can be easily fooled at times.

ooc. Sorry for really short post and long wait. I forgot about it and have no muse currently.
