The Ashbreaker Clan dwells in a realm all its own...
A place where lush valleys collide with a towering mountain, lazy waterfalls flow into raging rivers, and dangerous humans encounter fearsome wolves. The Ashbreaker is always on the run, since fate seems to enjoy toying with their lives daily. If you find yourself on their terra, you'd better have a good reason...
If you wish to join, find the alpha, Tigerstorm, or the beta, Haitoru, before they find you lurking about their homeland without permission. If you're just passing through, make it quick... Haitoru doesn't take kindly to strangers...
08•10•o9 Yay for getting back on track for tha main plot and for activity boost! I am happy we are able to get things going before school comes for some. Keep up the good work everyone! <3 ~ Tiggy
07•19•o9 You all know what had happen so i don't need to explain in here. I want to get our activity back up(meaning as 'our', I am pointing at myself and Haitoru). 19•o5•o9 - Hello, everyone. I do want to first say I am sorry for Haitoru's and my own inavtivity. School is almost ending, and my sister is going to graduate. I bet you all are busy with school/college/classes too. I understand you are busy and don't feel bad about it. Just come on here and there just to check up on the site. Thanks for understanding. Hope when school is over, we can enjoy roleplaying once again. <3 ~ Tiggy and Hai
21•o4•o9 - Activity Check #2 is now in order. So is May nominations for WOTM. I hope everyone had great vacations and breaks! You can take your time adjusting back into the roleplaying life again. Lol. Have fun and I hope the activity will boost up again. <3 ~ Tiggy

28•12•o8 - Ah! I am glad to see the site is growing more active! YAY! Welcome our new members with respect and dignity, guys... NAH! You guys can have a blast with them, so be yourselves and enjoy bashing on the noobies. Hah. Any questions, new members, don't be afraid to ask! We are all willing to help out and be friends with whoever comes by on the site. ~ Tiggy
14•12•o8 - Maintenance Mode no more! Thanks to Lust and others, we were able to make the site even more organized and attractive. Hopefully more members will join. If not, we can advertise our site at theirs. Might work! Ayways, activity is doing well amongst all the members with school and other life obstacles. Take your time and don't rush yourselves to reply in threads! <3 ~ Tiggy
o7•12•o8 - As you all have noticed, the site was put at a stand still. Tig and I decided we should lock it up until we have fixed everything and have gotten all of your support in the finished product. Lust had given me the lovely idea of a independent, or otherwise freeform, roleplay section for those who don't want to follow the main thread. I kept the main thread in case some of us still want to make it like a big story, but she was right. It IS hard to follow it and keep up with everything if everyone is in one thread. I'm organizing, trying to finish the Nightrider Plot Summary. I'll make the 'Kingdom of Carnage' plot summary to, when it gets a few more posts. c: ~ Hai

The arid aroma of tule elk still clung callously on her breath with each elated exhale. It had been mere moments ago when she, along with a few other Ashbreakers, had taken down decent game and hauled it a short trek back to the cavern so that all could feast modestly. That was the way of this pack; not all for one, but rather one for all. It was strange in the eyes of the hardy huntress.
After all, being of mere Gamma rank, feminine reaper was head of the hunts--top dog of the flock, temporarily. So, no matter if she had recruited a Delta, Beta, or even Alpha, they would be under her command and control for the duration of the hunt.
Too bad she couldn't make it last longer.
As soon as whatever their target became was slain, all aided in retrieving and trekking back--as a group--to the cave to indulge in eating. Equally. And it wasn't that she despised sharing--oh no, she'd learned to do such only because it was a necessity for survival--but rather that she found credit should be given where credit was due. And a verbal 'thanks' wasn't what she had in mind.
Ever since the ranking ceremony which had taken place just preceding the war, debonair demon had been assigned the quaint rank of Gamma female, aside another called Yasumi. Vehement vixen had scant to say of the marble maiden, other than she tended to bite off more than she could chew--not usually in such a literal sense; rather, it often seemed the Ashbreaker was too fragile, or too thick-headed to realize when to stop. Despite being foolhardy or headstrong, even Mercury could tell when she was overdoing something. Most of the time. Not even she was perfect.
Unfortunately.
Valiant Valkyrie now soared steadfast across ally tundra, polychromatic pelt ruffling in a mismatched manner as taut curvature jostled and bustled with the decent velocity. After accompanying comrades back to the cave, she'd bailed without so much as a nibble, making sure not to create a scene in the process. It wasn't so hard to do, considering the fair amount of members that currently plagued the thought-to-be solo pack of Rhandir Valley.
One Alpha, one Beta, duet of Deltas, two Gammas -only female-, two Stealthpaws -only male-, and some silly little no-ranks. That was the Almighty Ashbreaker pack. Ha. Realistically, there were hardly any whom she would fondly stand aside from very long, and there were quite a couple with whom she had barely a relationship at all--be it negative or postive.
Start from the top. Tigerstorm was a joke, but for the sake of survival and a good, safe place in the pack, she needed him. He was a pup at heart, able to be serious for two seconds every great once-in-a-while. He wasn't that bad, but no the type that proved of much use. It was only his rank that kept her acknowledging him.
Haitoru was a whole other threat. With actual brains she wasn't afraid to use, the Beta was decent in the physical and logical sense. She was a leader. And that was annoying. What made her so good? And then, like the genius she was, she adopted some lowly male--a traitor, even--as her mate. Though he wasn't anymore, how could someone so adolescent become Beta of the Ashbreakers, when she hadn't moved a peg for her hierarchy rung? It made no sense. But, aside from following some simple requests--which was rare, aside from her own 'go hunt' decisions--there wasn't much interaction between the Gamma and Beta. Maybe that was a good thing.
Then there was Ebony and Siren. Though the two were far different, might as well lump them together. They were the only full-set rank the Ashbreakers had, meaning that it was a full, steady rank, with no sign that either would give way and go either up in rank, or down. And that was all right. Though she still held a grudge towards the male and so-called Guardian red wolf, even she couldn't help admire his dedication to the pack, and ability all-around to assess situations and follow through with the appropriate strategy. And because of her disdainful aversion to him, she tended to skirt from having to be with Siren. It was best that way. As for the black female, Ebony, it was quite different. She wasn't particularly verbose with the healer, but she did almost respect her disposition and knowledge. With a decent ranking and trustworthiness, it seemed hard to dislike the Delta fae. But other than that, no comments could come from the timber mutt. During the war, it had seemed almost that Ebony's alliance quavered towards that of the humans due to some other black wolf, but she had not completely faultered. Not that that was any of her business.
Moving along, there were the lower ranks, other than Yasumi, who was her equal. Supposedly. Thorn and Swamp remained the only two Stealthpaws in the pack, both a bit youthful, but with their own chunk of knowledge and human-littered past. It didn't make so much sense that Thorn, with whom Yasumi loved so much, was still Stealthpaw when his beloved was a Gamma. Perhaps he did not hunt well? Though Wapi didn't govern well in her book, but that was an arguement best left to silent mentality. Swamp, of course, she'd comforted during the war when his life had almost been taken. She didn't remember much of it, only that the pack as a whole had been delicate and supportive of the young, shaggy beast who had so wholeheartedly joined their escapade, and so willingly put his own self on the line for their freedom. Unfortunately, he didn't quite seem to fit the definition of a higher rank, and Mercury used that as an excuse for the reason he remained where he was for so long. Not that he cared. Funny kid only wanted to help others. That was almost a pet peeve to her, but whatever. She didn't love him, simply was amused by him. Another pawn, only this one was for delight, not gain.
Last, but not least, were the no-ranks, which was stupid. Just make them omegas, what was the difference? Some bull about being a part of the pack as opposed to a stranger of sorts, but she saw little difference. Wapi had a lot to learn about self control, she figured. He was incapable of bottling things up after his admittance to his traitor ways. She liked him better when he was a Nightrider. When he had escorted her back to Ashbreaker territory when she'd become the hostage for the opposing pack. Ah, how fun. Aurus was right beside Wapi, but different all the same. How could that little male be a Nightrider? Ever? With relation to Haitoru by light blood, he was just a considerate and just. Too bad. She didn't think much of him, other than that he should have yielded more to the Ashbreakers, and steadied more with the Nightriders. Feminine dove would appreciate the white wolf more if he wasn't constantly trying to be 'good'.
Then there was Sloan. Now he could be something. Unafraid of the anti-Nightrider wolves around him, ex-Patriarch had found himself in need of a pack once the fire came around. Funny how things worked out like that. And, of course, he wasn't afraid to tell it like it was. Blunt, malicious, but completely honest, male was often regarded as an--almost--lost hope. He retained wholly his hostile demeanor, as well as his standard disreguard for ranks and orders. Who the hell cared about those things? But, in the same way, he didn't care about socializing or sharing. That included information of his past, even his time with the Nightriders. She always made notes to try and get something of it out of him, but somehow never managed it. Oh well, he would put up a show sooner or later.
Mustard malachite blades below almost crunched under her average mass: uncanny heat apparently nourished the foliage with tough love now-a-days. As femme fatale approached a more fragile line-like border of fresher shrubbery, she sighed. Haste halted and gave way to a patient saunter, inhaling through rubbery nostrils and flinching as if the scent of soot and sodden-with-blood soil could still be picked up. This border was usually where the Ashbreakers drew the line, for it was about where the old border with the now absent Nightrider pack had been, and when the fire had spread from and consumed much of the surrounding lands. It had been frightening, yet liberating almost.
Trotting onward, outside regular Ashbreaker territory, complacent self-camaraderie flowed through flagrant female's framework, aura of arrogant coolness. She was lax, yet vacantly alert, and continued forth without a care or clear notion on where her destination was. Merely a leaf in the wind, haughty harlot drifted with the whim of the grand design.
