The Ashbreaker Clan dwells in a realm all its own...

A place where lush valleys collide with a towering mountain, lazy waterfalls flow into raging rivers, and dangerous humans encounter fearsome wolves. The Ashbreaker is always on the run, since fate seems to enjoy toying with their lives daily. If you find yourself on their terra, you'd better have a good reason...

If you wish to join, find the alpha, Tigerstorm, or the beta, Haitoru, before they find you lurking about their homeland without permission. If you're just passing through, make it quick... Haitoru doesn't take kindly to strangers...

You all know what had happen so i don't need to explain in here. I want to get our activity back up(meaning as 'our', I am pointing at myself and Haitoru). Also, I wanna get some boards cleaned out, maybe new ideas to get it going, and etc. Thanks for being so loyal everyone and remaining active!
<3 ~ Tiggy

19•o5•o9 - Hello, everyone. I do want to first say I am sorry for Haitoru's and my own inavtivity. School is almost ending, and my sister is going to graduate. I bet you all are busy with school/college/classes too. I understand you are busy and don't feel bad about it. Just come on here and there just to check up on the site. Thanks for understanding. Hope when school is over, we can enjoy roleplaying once again. <3 ~ Tiggy and Hai

21•o4•o9 - Activity Check #2 is now in order. So is May nominations for WOTM. I hope everyone had great vacations and breaks! You can take your time adjusting back into the roleplaying life again. Lol. Have fun and I hope the activity will boost up again. <3 ~ Tiggy

30•o3•o9 - Rhandir Valley has hit a bump in the road. Not much posting compare to earlier on, but hey! Life does get in the way. You guys are great and are super awesome for being able to dedicate yourselves to this site. Possibly an Activity check soon enough. Also, WOTM needs help going! ~ Tiggy

21•o2•o9 - Well, just updating a few pictures and advertising some more. Its great to see you all are being as active as you can be! And don't worry if you lost your muse. Just try your best and try to regain it. Continue about the site and welcome our newcomers with grace and dignity... Nah. I'm joking. But no raping them! -giggles- ~ Tiggy

o2•o2•o9 - The site has hit a ditch. Not going to point fingers because they would go at me. LOL. Hah. Okay. Laughing aside, I hope the site gets a bit more active. I am trying my hardest, and I am sure you all are as well. Have fun! ~ Tiggy

28•12•o8 - Ah! I am glad to see the site is growing more active! YAY! Welcome our new members with respect and dignity, guys... NAH! You guys can have a blast with them, so be yourselves and enjoy bashing on the noobies. Hah. Any questions, new members, don't be afraid to ask! We are all willing to help out and be friends with whoever comes by on the site. ~ Tiggy

14•12•o8 - Maintenance Mode no more! Thanks to Lust and others, we were able to make the site even more organized and attractive. Hopefully more members will join. If not, we can advertise our site at theirs. Might work! Ayways, activity is doing well amongst all the members with school and other life obstacles. Take your time and don't rush yourselves to reply in threads! <3 ~ Tiggy

o7•12•o8 - As you all have noticed, the site was put at a stand still. Tig and I decided we should lock it up until we have fixed everything and have gotten all of your support in the finished product. Lust had given me the lovely idea of a independent, or otherwise freeform, roleplay section for those who don't want to follow the main thread. I kept the main thread in case some of us still want to make it like a big story, but she was right. It IS hard to follow it and keep up with everything if everyone is in one thread. I'm organizing, trying to finish the Nightrider Plot Summary. I'll make the 'Kingdom of Carnage' plot summary to, when it gets a few more posts. c: ~ Hai

Living alone was tough. Well, tough if you craved the attention and affection of friends or acquintances. Nothing was yours, it was always someone else's. Even the place you could call home could be stolen by someone who thoughts yours was better than theirs. There was rarely anyone around if you ever just wanted to talk, or simply be in another's company. You were isolated.

Daniel didn't much like being isolated.

The mackenzie wolf moved around the canyons, dodging the edges and loose rocks. One false move could send you over the edge to your death, or at least, your severe injury. The sandy coloured rock was hot on Daniel's pads. When he had come to this land a few days ago the heat had burned, forcing him into the shade nearly all day. But as he moved around, he got used to it. It was still hot, but no longer intolerable.

His teal eyes searched around the area as his paws moved him. His nose twitched, trying to pick up any scent of life.

Since he had been here, he had yet to catch anything. Although, he had found a small trail down through the canyon to a neutral area with some bigger game. The area down there was grassy--even if the grass was mostly brown--and knew where to look, you could find the little stream. If you followed the stream back toward the canyon, it would lead you to the river that roared at the base of the cliffs. You could look up and see all the caves and ledges above you. On the opposite end, if you were brave enough to get to the very top, there was a larger cave and ledge where you could look around and see everything. As dry as it was, it was beautiful in its own way.

Something moved in the dead brush to his right. Danny froze, letting his nose quiver to pick up the scent. A hare. He slowly turned his head and lowered his body to the ground, silently creeping toward the rodent. It seemed to catch the wolf's scent because it lifted its head and looked around. It froze as the two animals' eyes met. Daniel darted forward and the hare scrabbled away.

White followed brown, a great race between predator and prey. After a few seconds of chase, the hare lost his footing and slid on the rock as he tried to turn. Daniel let his momentum carry him forward and he pounced on the rodent. His jaws were on it in seconds, snapping down on its neck. The hare went limp under the canine's paws, proclaiming the wolf the winner of this chase.

He rose to his paws again, adjusting the hare so it didn't drag on the ground as he walked. He would go back to his little cavern and eat it. He silently thought of going up to the top to eat but decided that that place was occupied by higher ranked wolves. He stopped. There hadn't been any new scent since he entered this land. He had caught the border marker and a few old scents in the cave on top but nothing recent. Suddenly it clicked.

This territory was empty. There was no pack or herd or anything here. Daniel lay his catch down, stepping away to take in the scents around him again. Reassured, he returned to the kill. No one was here. Away flew any hopes he had possessed about finding company here. He sighed and trotted with his prey into the shade of an over hang near the edge of the cliff. Now a slight bit more cool, the white wolf lay down, letting his fangs sink into the hare, enjoying the warm rush of blood.

ooc:// Thought I should get Daniel going. XD
He is located at some canyon if that helps and its mid-day.

Lofty lope ate the scorching ground with a rapid succession of hits, war-drum symphony created from the canter alluded to the strange wolf hybrid's run being a waltz all its own. Downy pelt refused to ruffle as dust stirred in the wake of a freight train, dapples which often created a blending illusion beneath forest canopies did little but absorb the beams of invisible, aerosol plasma that radiated from the sun. At this rash realization, guttural growl slithered up from heathen's heart cage which such voracity, it was like that of a tiger whose prey had been snatched from its very paws.

Flame-kissed, comet's dash was taken down a gear as the uplifting aroma of lunch wafted on the wind. Delicate nostrils encouraged hare's deceased scent into brain center, where, not a moment later, thought was processed and joy struck.

Beast was built for such prey. Lanky framework was carved to provided a ground-devouring stride, and lightweight mass comprised into pure muscle for the sake of one thing: capture. Elongated chest cavity provided ample lungs, and accompanied with stilt-like limps, maned wolf could be no more adapted to outrun any creature, let alone a little lagamorph. Even game such as deer, elk, or moose--those lovely ungulates--stood no chance. His speed and stamina surpassed them greatly. Though, even one as great as he stood no chance without a pack.

Good thing he wasn't alone.

Devious debonair had his own group of associates, though few were brash enough to wade out into the canyon. Off in the valley there was an alleged drought, which for sure could be felt by its current residents, and even those around it; however, that radius was not infinite. There were lands unaffected: lands that still flourished, lands that mocked Rhandir Valley. It got what it deserved. They got what they deserved.

Malevolent mind finding its way back on track, trot engaged was a vitalized one, carrying traits of a crusader. Sights were set curiously before him, demonic display of gaze a midnight maroon--such a hue that often concealed tepid trickster's most tactical traits. As keen eagle eyes focused in on that near-camouflaged dot in the distance, pace was set steady to approach calm, but cautious. Not that he felt it was need-be, but because it was fun that way.

Once wolf was close enough, sly smile writhed onto molten muzzle, enormous ears tipped forward to ensure a response would be received, regardless of the frequency, volume, or reverberation. Tone taken was smooth, and almost milky.

" It's been a while since I've seen one such as yourself wandering the canyon. Alone. "

Words had waited patiently until the lucid lupine had slithered up behind this unknown male to a distance of at most thirty yards. Clearly, proper posture showed no immediate dominance, and certainly no overwhelming submission, but above all, composture displayed nothing of yearning for the fallen food. The light-colored loner's hare was all his. Clearly.

Nibbling on the small flesh that laid sprawled out on his forelegs, he managed to rip some fur out of the skin, but that resulted in the soft pelt of the hare's landing on his rough tongue. It would take a few licks outside his lips to rid of the nuisance of hair, but the lone lupine didn't mind. He still had his meal in front of him and there was obviously no signs or scents that warned him of a scavenging creature, or one like himself. A sudden deep sigh was released from his larynx, teal gems narrowing in a gentle slit from that fact.

Oh, how he craved to speak to another.

He's been a loner since a young age, cutting all bonds to his past life. He theorized it as a smart decision. He definitely thought twice about it. For being a conversationalist, Daniel knew he couldn't live as a rouge for long. He wanted to speak to himself at times, but he would think he was crazy if he did, let alone, even thinking about it made his question his insanity.

A brush of zephyrs woke him from his long held trance, thoughts jumbling up in embarrassment for no apparent reason. He quickly recovered by going back to his small meal, lapping up any blood from the hare that had happen to dipped on his snowy white stilts. Sharp fangs would shred the muscles off the bones, his chews holding a refine way instead, like most wolves, a beastly feeding. He was taught with manners and having to grow up like that, he would correct others that didn't do the same. Imagine him meeting the sloppy Alpha of the Ashbreakers. He would die of sight if his teal gems ever met on Tigerstorm.

" It's been a while since I've seen one such as yourself wandering the canyon. Alone. "

At first, he thought he was hearing things. Laying in a canyon with blast of random winds, they tend to tune noises out. Auds perked up in interest, but one soon collapsed down in a confused expression. Was he imagining? Twisting his mane to all parts of the canyon, his muzzle pointed behind him to spot a familiar, but at the same time, unfamiliar creature. Now the new question is that a real canine, or one made up from his mind, which at the moment was getting its revenge.

He gave a loud gulp, in fear, for that he had no meat in his mouth. The new scent was soon whiffed up into his nostrils, soon realizing he wasn't daydreaming. But, was he in danger? He always had a questionable thought, so he had noticed.

The brute didn't stand with any threat nor did it stand like a weakling. Daniel's eyes narrowed in interest from his strange stance. Maybe he was playing with the Mackenzie wolf, trying to sneak a quick meal, though much was not left. Or, he was just a kind wolf seeking for attention too. He wanted to pick the second, and he did, his hungry throat swallowing hard for line, or even word. He picked himself off the cold terra and turned to face the male lupine, knowing represent himself as a gentlemen. Then, once getting up, his voice flowed out of his mouth, a sleek and musical tone drifting for a three letter word.

"Huh?"

occ:// Sorry for any confusion. I tend to ramble to much for Daniel since he's more of a thinker at things.

Bemused, brittle snicker emerged from elongated jaws, cut short as it broke into a soft sigh. Crafty clearing of throat would banish previous action from the rest of this meeting, intrigued eyes studying the bewildered brute before him. He was indeed an interesting beast: well proportioned, with a pelt that was useful for both temperature and camouflage reasons. What a find in this desert-like setting.

Bushy banner waved once, maybe twice, as intent stare loomed over buff butch. Scarlet sight drifted to the left as muzzle tilted upwards, words directed towards foreigner even if vision was not.

"My, my, my. Where have my manners gone?"

Rhetorical inquiry was self-aimed and self-spoken, tsk of topaz-tinted tongue a discouragement towards his own lack of proper propriety. Starting over, a light tone would be taken while considerate shifting of eyes occurred--jet pupils would scan counterpart for a brief moment as sanguine sight siphoned information. Then, respectful lowering of gaze would set the stage for a regal sentiment. Had to be on our best behavior, no?

" What I meant was simply that in times such as these, the wolves I've seen inhabiting nearby areas don't often dare stray into the canyon. "

Slight consideration seemed to be put into next onslaught of sentences, for weight shifted idly towards right frontal region so that left hindpaw could rest its ankle joint lightly upon the ground. Lax manner could plausibly give off cooperative, genuine vibe, for deep within the chambers of Flare's mind burned the inferno of a highly-skilled sociopath. Slight smirk was reminiscent of that fact, but would appear as no more than beguiling reassurance.

"I don't mean that to be rude. And who am I to leave out the introductions? They call me Flare. And you?"

Curiosity clearly brimmed from his being, eyes returning to loom about magnificent hunter. Lagamorphs were not particularly easy to catch, and in these times there was more pressure than before in that without abundant ungulates, these miniscule herbavores became prime targets. However, though Flare himself was easily able to chase down such rabbit creatures, he was built for that over prey such as elk or caribou. But this wolf before him; ah, yes, he was well-rounded. Looks did not often take top priority in traits to look for, but zealous czar could not help but be both amused, and grateful.

Flustered and attempting to cover his embarrassment, which didn't do well since he just tucked his chin in slightly, teal gems glazed back at the scarlet that eyed him with experience. The mane wolf before him seemed very confident, even with Daniel's size, though he wasn't that big nor small. His paws shifted uneasy under his weight, nails scratching
